…we had high speed internet. If we did, I would have uploaded a video for you of Bob reading out loud, while Meeps practiced writing letters, and I would have titled the blog “This is What Homeschooling Looks Like”. Which on that morning, was about 80 shades of calm adorableness.
There is a line run, at last, to our property for high speed, but it’s not due to be connected until 2012. Until then, we surf the internet like it’s 1994. So, no video for you. But I do have pictures, because my husband and I have finally caved and joined the modern world. By getting iPhones.
I am now going to inundate you with joyful pictures of my gorgeous children and gorgeous farm taken on my iPhone. (Phones. Taking PICTURES. Good ones!)
Are you ready?

You really do have the most adorable kids.
Warms my heart to see the doll quilt in use. Please hold their hands and tell them both I say hi!
Beautiful! Since our Sara Bela was born 10 weeks ago, our cell phones have turned into cameras and camcorders. Do you recommend a good point-and-shoot for novice photographers with a gorgeous baby to document?
Such beautiful photo’s Ash! What colour/ brand are the inks Scott used on your hand? They’re the brightest I’ve ever seen!
I have been curious, what homeschooling resources do you use?
They are just too cute. They look so much like you when they smile
The photos came out awesome too. What application did you use for the photos, was it Instagram? Did you guys get the iPhone 4S? I was debating on getting that one or just wait it out till next year for the i5. I use my camera on my blackberry more then my digital camera so when ever I look for a phone I’m looking at the camera taking qualities in it lol
homeschooling definitely gives you a different perspective on life. i go back and forth between wishing i had more education and being so glad i was homeschooled. the kiddos are so big now, it’s crazy to see how much they look like you guys and how much their personalities are coming out, just through pics! welcome to the iPhone fold. your hair looks cool, love the little braid!
Amandette – we follow along to the Ontario guidelines, and take many different paths to get there. We’ve got a Montessori style math kit that the kids love. Bob learned to read using Bob books. And I have shelves full of books from Scholastic.
Corinne – we have the 4, but not the new one. Do have Instagram, but the pictures are smaller. Try to use Hipstamatic more, but most of the time I use the regular camera and do a quick edit on the phone using Snapseed, which is awesome.
Kelleigh – it’s a custom blend.
Hannah – Scott has an Elph that is pretty awesome for a P&S.
And thanks all.
That big photo of the two of them is fantastic. Such a 60′s feel. You’ve got amazing children!
bob looks more and more like his dad with every picture you post. And your hair in that last picture is super cute!!
Gorgeous bebes as always and I really approve of that hair, looks so good with the eyebrows.
If you ever sell the clothes your kids have grown out of… please do it on the internet. Such stylish kids!
ciao!! i’m from Italy and i know not very well english….can you insert the google traslator?? the reading would be easy….sorry for my terrible english…kiss from Italia
sorry…i’m Eliana
Lovely photos!
I’m jealous that you even have the line run, we were quoted $20,000 to have high speed/phone lines run out to our little property! Boo!
