We are located in the middle of an industrial wind project. 90+ turbines are going to be around us, and we have spent the last two years fighting them. Fighting Samsung and the Ontario government is not a winning battle.

Though we will likely never get sick from the turbines, the plain fact is that we have fought tooth and nail... and once they go up, everytime we see one we will feel defeated and angry. Two feelings I could not personally live with daily.

We had no choice but to fight, it's who we are. But it has emotionally put us into a very precarious position... As far as we know, there are no turbines within a kilometer of us, any other person would probably be happy to ignore them.

We on the other hand, at this point in our lives, could not.

I just read ur update and I know u disabled comments... I dont know you of course, but I really hope everything will turn out well for you. I always loved reading your blog and sometimes I had this dream to live exactly like your family did. You seem/ed so free, so organic... it is hard to describe. Society turned into a materialistic worm hole and your blog was like a ray of light. I really hope you will tell us what happened to your farm or why u decided to sell. Of course you dont owe anyone something, but I really loved reading ur blog and I was shocked to read about that sale.

They love art supplies. They have a play kitchen from Ikea. I don't know why we bought food for it, before we did, they imagined EVERY ITEM. Chestnuts in a bag. Wooden catapult from Lee Valley. Rope (from our garage) and pulleys ($8 from the hardware store) and a carabeener to lift objects, and sometimes the dog. :)

Damn I love all your tats. Gorgeous. I have to start saving my pennies for more.

This is totally selfish but if you're looking for non-regrettable types of things to talk about on this blog, I'd love some of your recommendations for kids toys. My daughter is 26 months and we're trying to go with the less-but-better approach to toys. With Christmas coming, I'd love to hear what toys you and your kids have gotten the most fun/use/etc. out of.
