Scott and I celebrated our anniversary this past week. We attended a single malt tasting (Scott lucks out twice over in the Scotch department those nights) at the Brasserie in town. Which is also where we had our wedding reception. The food was tremendous as usual and the company was great. Feeling very blessed.
Don’t know why I waited so long to buy a pair of work overalls, but holy crap. They had them on sale at the TSC this week and am I ever thrilled. Now I don’t have the poo of the 7 different types of animals we have at our farm on my pants! Novel!
Suki is penned up in the maternity ward as we wait for her to kid. Everything is racing along at full speed. Animals, children, life.

Yup, made the dress for her birthday. Boys scrappy repurposed tees, super easy. Boys collared shirts, friggin ridiculous. I can make my own patterns for dresses, boys stuff… need a pattern!
Good gravy, I have 2 spare coveralls if you’re interested, they’d be way too big (they’re big on me) but good for over clothes.
Agreed, the dresses are adorbs!

I am waiting, waiting, waiting for Made by Rae to finally publish her big butt pant pattern (for cloth diapered bums) so I can make some pants for Peanut that I know will fit. For now I’m busying myself with bow ties.

You wrote about being stir-crazy with the kids in winter, and it reminded me of something my great-great-grandfather wrote about his childhood in the Big Thicket. When I first read about being cooped up in the house in winter time I thought “Oh, his poor mother!”

On a more mundane note I have a pattern for a set of work coveralls,made 2 pairs for myself for when I was painting a lot.Its an old pattern,but if you want I can scan it and upload it somewhere. Glad life is treating you well,this blog is a reminder there is life outside the city…reminds me of being a kid!
