Attn Kincardinites Concerned About Wind Turbines

May 1st, 2010

**This meeting has been moved to WEDNESDAY, so spread the word!**

Our strong peaceful presence is needed at the Municipal Building to support Steve Nisbett’s presentation on WEDNESDAY morning at 10:30.  This is not a protest, your present and concerned body is all that is needed.  This is not a council meeting, this is a building planning meeting.

If you can attend, please email: actiongroup@bmts.com so that a general head count can be tallied and presented.

This is not about who you vote for.  This is not anti-green, or pro-green or any other colour.  This is about encouraging our Municipality to take control over the placement of large industrial wind turbines, as it is they who know our municipality best. We wouldn’t go to the Shed Company or the Provincial Government if we wanted to build a shed on our property, right?

In short, Local decisions are best made at a local level!

I don’t think this is going to end up peaceful… it may start that way but when money and health collide… mayhem ensues.
What will it take for people to realize that ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
Loved – and was very shocked by – the pdf on cell phone poisoning.
I am sending it to everyone I can think of.
Thank you for sharing it with me :)

How can we get involved further with this Ashley. We have missed the local meeting now….is there a way to rally people together for petitions that are opposed to the turbines. I just wish there was more we could do to oppose them.

Tara – There is a meeting at the Davidson Center, June 24, 7pm. Come if you live here. Join WCO. And if you want to help flyer for the meeting, call or email me.

    There are petitions.

Write to your MPP. Write to council. Write to the Minister of the Environment, John Gerretsen. Write to the paper. Write to the Minister of Health. Talk to your friends, neighbours, spread the word in your community. The more people who refuse to sign up for them, the less there will be.

I’m working on a couple things at the moment, I could use help. If you are a neighbour or resident of the Armow Wind Project Boundary, options held by Acciona, lemme know.
