Here are my birthday tattoos. My neck isn’t finished, still needs colour and a bee added above the flower (to sit behind my ear). The SQUIDDEW and RABBEET (my two favourite mispronounciations of the kids) still need to finish healing and get coloured.

(Yes the Squiddew looks a like a hanger, what can I say, my husbands 14 year old inner child is still very active in the right side of his brain).
In further tattoo news, we have some new shop shirts in. If you want one, come by the shop or shoot an email to
sugarshacktattoo@hotmail.com
We also have prints of the image, without that particular text.

And now for some family cuteness:

(Nope, didn’t cut my hair, just washed and brushed it. NOVEL!)
cool ink
Love it
I’m getting a big bee on my neck, next time i am able to get tattooed.
That chair looks like a very comfy snuggle chair
how much are the shirts?
$20 a shirt Kristina, and whatever shipping speed you’d prefer.
Love the new ink. You look absolutely gorgeous in the last picture.
You have such a happy, beautiful family, and your new ink looks great! I hope you all are enjoying this lovely weekend.
I love your neck tattoo so much! And I’m totally getting one of those shirts.
Totally off topic, but what breed of dog is Puppers?
Mandi – Puppers is a poodle mixed with probably chihuahua or schnauzer or hamster.
Thanks everyone!
I would definitely be down with such a trade… But I’d be afraid of how eggnog would handle being shipped!
I will def be purchasing one, as soon as we recover (financially) from Xmas!
this comment is not about your new ink. although i do think it is FAB!
last night we got two and a half feet of snow..for my little sea side town, thats a ton. actually i don’t think weve actually had this much snow in ten years give or take. so, obviously my mom and i were shoveling our selves out of what we would call and blizzard and the entire time i was thinking about your saying something last winter about the snow being so deep you couldn’t open you front door… at all. so i put my head down and shoveled. haha.
hope your well. xox
Lovely! You and the kids look great!
Question: How many hours did the completed rose take to complete?
My neck didn’t take long. I can’t remember how long the first side took to outline (I had a squirming baby on me) but it took him just over 20 minutes to outline that second side. And just over an hour and a bit to colour.
oooh, Ashley, love the new tattoos. I’m getting my neck done finally after much hemming and hawing on jan 10th. How was it for ouch factor lady?
Joan, I just emailed you! Ha. Coincidence.
1st side, walk in the park. Done with a spread nine, nice and soft feeling, one of the easiest tattoos I’ve ever gotten. 2nd side, done with a tight 9 (forgot to spread it) and a new punchy Seth Ciferri machine, and while the lines are gorgeous it felt like Scott was cutting my head off. Yup.
…every time I shut my eyes I was imagining I was trapped in a Dexter episode! Terrible visualization!!! HA.
hey there lady!! of course, sweet new ink, and secondly, some books I think you will LOVE: Anything by James Herriot. He was a veterinarian in England who had many lovely encounters with some very memorable animals and not nly are the stories wonderful but the illustrations are fantastic!!! I have had a collection since I was a kid and now my kid have them too. so JAMES HERRIOT : THE MARKET SQUARE DOG, MOSES THE KITTEN, BONNIES BIG DAY, OSCAR CAT ABOUT TOWN…….and many others. All true stories… Have a great Christmas.
Read them all Hayley! I don’t have them anymore but I read them all as a kid. Great books!
Merry Christmas!!!
Love the new tattoos! xoxo
Lovely birthday ink! Seeing your beautiful neck tattoos makes me want to reconsider getting some there myself. Perhaps someday when all my other tattoo projects are completed. I love the tattoos you got for the kids
A touch of whimsy and they’re just damn adorable.
Lovely family picture as well, you have a beautiful family lady!
Thanks for the inspiration. Our xmas dinner is going to be made of totally organic, all from scratch food. I hate processed crap, so this is the push I need to get the point across that real food rules ( I am even cooking octopus – it is an Italian thing).
Oh I love all the pictures and especially love Scott’s work! Happy Holidays!
Thanks for the answer! I think it’s time you did a tattoo Q & A!
