Tattoos Tattoos Tattoos

December 17th, 2009

My talented husband will be having a walk in day at the tattoo shop before Christmas.  Tuesday, December 22, starting at 8am.  Details are as follows: first come, first serve; there is a two hour time limit; new work is welcome; work in progress is welcome; all work is custom, so bring any reference you may have; for the early birds, the sign up sheet will located at the barber shop next door; Scott likes single malts.  Scott is presently booked for 2010, so the walk in days are a great way to sneak in!

Scott’s friend and coworker (with almost 20 years under his belt!) Jarkko Holopainen will also be tattooing walk-ins all day long.

Gift certificates are available and make a great holiday present!

Yes, but he does have a cancellation list and does walk ins every Friday during the summer months to accommodate those w/out appointments. The walk in days are crazy, he will tattoo from 8:30am until midnight, the record was 16 people in one day. Those days can be pretty crazy (some people sleep in their cars to get a slot) but if you are there by 8:30 you should be getting tattooed that day. He gives people an appointment time that day to come back (you’re not expected to wait around).

    We’re very grateful. :)

When are we going to see your new birthday tattoo work?

    jealous i’m not nearby.

  5. I’ve never been to Canada, let alone your neck of the Canadian woods but…
I am sorta irritated that I can’t just stroll on in on the 22nd and get a tattoo. I want someone who is really good at what they do to do a religious tattoo for me… alas.

Scott did my tattoo 2 years ago (couldn’t let my 70 year old mother be the only one in the family to have one). I want to have another, can I make an appointment with anyone else at the shop? I am thinking of July or August of 2010. I can arrange a visit with the in-laws with an appointment. Thanks.
    P.S. Scott does awesome work.

Brenda, Jarrko has a short wait and Dave has no wait (you could get tattooed tomorrow if you wanted). Scott does walk in days every Friday all summer long, so if you wanted him again you could come in on a Friday. Or make an appt with Jark or Dave. Mel the apprentice may be tattooing by summer if you would like small work from her, and I would doubt she will have any wait.

If you know you would like another tattoo, you should call the shop soonish and book a consultation appt and then you would book your tattoo appt at the consult.

    :)

That’s awesome they’re doing so well! I had the pleasure of meeting Scott at the Montreal tattoo convention this year. Thanks to reading your blog, I knew who he was so I told him to bring some of your cheese with him next time he’s in town :) . Hope he’s coming back to my lovely city in Sept 2010 so I can nab some of his awesome work! Sadly this year I was too poor to get tattooed by anyone but I’m all for supporting people I “know” IRL or not and well its nice to know he’s not creepy.

Thanks for the info. I live in Windsor, so our trips to Kincardine usually take place in the summer and fall. I will call the shop whenever I can catch my husband long enough to figure out his vacation dates for work. I am so in need of another tattoo.
