Loads of Laundry

September 24th, 2009

Meeps

Yesterday, in no particular order and in very varying amounts, Little Miss Meeps consumed:

guacamole
egg
wheat squares & milk
toast & jam
chocolate cake batter
leek & potato soup
garlic bread & butter
banana
trail mix
tomato
cheddar cheese
grape juice
broccoli
blueberries
sour cream & honey
quinoa crackers

Anyone who makes white clothes for children, has no children.

(Why do I keep giving in to the temporary cuteness of white shirts?)

I think this is what she was going for:

My mom is infamous for buying Finn adorable white tees, knowing full well that he’ll have them demolished within a week. I refuse to buy anything that’s lighter than royal blue for him, just to save my sanity.

A girlfriend of mine has a new-ish baby who, when dressed in her one and only white sleeper, has explosive diarrhea. While clothes and small children def don’t mix well, unless one’s goal is extra laundry effort and permanent stains.

Interesting mix of food! I’m jealous… I want some blueberries now!

You know, sometimes it just doesn’t matter what color you buy! :) My daughter is 10, and we still have issues when we buy her white shirts. Hell, like I should talk… I always end up with a cleavage-area stain on any light-colored shirt I get. Guess it’s hereditary!

on the plus side…my daughter’s ruins make for excellent re-usable cleaning rags once they have been demolished by her love of feeding herself.
i’m curious about the sour cream and honey….?

  7. Gillian says:

i’m kind of jealous. ash is the neatest eater i’ve ever seen. this morning he asked to have his hands wiped no less than four times when eating apple butter and almond butter on bread.

Cheree – yeah, my shirts are all digusting too.

Sour cream & honey – my stand in to fresh chevre and honey, my favourite dessert right now.

Yeah, no napkins for Meeps. She rubs it all over her face.

i use organic soap and lots of vinnegar for washing Teresa clothes.
but she love to spread food all over and it’s quite a mission impossible :)
but she really enjoy eating that’s important :)

  10. Monica says:

Wow, she really has taken to eating her solids now. That’s good news, bad news for the white shirts though!

i know, eh? i never buy Neeks white shirts and yet she always gets them from everyone else. a friend finally gave me oxy spray as a gift and it isn’t bad. i definitely gets out organic stains like magic.
