After seeing the goats in diapers in your living room, I let out a sigh of relief, that I am not the only one that lets their "kids" roam in the house. Last fall, on my way home from Vancouver, I picked up a momma goat with two little ones at her side, loaded them into my SUV and brought them straight into the laundry room. After the inital shock, my husband built them a goat "palace" outside. Needles to say, when the mom gave birth to another set of twins, the babies ended up in my bed. Currently, I am a mother to newborn lamb which was rejected by her mom. "Eva" lives in my office and occassionaly wears diapers and sweaters when we go out. She is doing well, and all children young and old love her.

a note about grey water-we are hoping to convince our landlord to let us install a grey water tank for our toilets-with 3 kids we use a LOT of water, and we could save over 40,000 gallons of water a year!! for people who pay for water by the gallon, thats a really good thing.

Jeremy - we have a septic tank and have our own well. Hoping very much to get on the grey water tip soon, as well as rainwater collection. We've been collecting bits and pieces, rain barrels and whatnot. Getting our ducks in order.

We'd also like to get a solar hook up for a hot water system (have our eye on one at the hardware place around the corner)....

Very much looking forward to getting on it all. :)

Unrelated entirely, but I'm curious--

What does your family do for sewage? Is it a traditional septic system, or do you reuse grey water at all?

Praying that the healthy factor outweighs the size factor
:)
I love your little ones.
After the film wraps I am buying a horse...
You will all be welcome to come and get a riding lesson.

So my 9 year old was nosing over my shoulder and said-"are those goats in the house?" and I was explaining a little bit about your house/farm/etc and she wanted to see more pictures, so I showed her some more pics on your blog, and then she asked-"so...when can we go visit them?"
