Scott coloured in my neck on Sunday. Just a subtle little tattoo, you know tucked behind my ear. I could hide it with my hair for work so I can still look professional.
HAR. HAR. HAR.

Picked all of our garlic. It’s been cleaned off and is now drying out. Picked the rest of our beans too, they are presently getting blanched on the stove. We have some tomatoes coming ripe, just the little ones. Bob thinks gardening is great. He was over at my parents place the other day, and toddles up to their little veggie patch and tells my dad “your swiss chard is coming great!” THAT’S MY BOY!

Scott’s off to the Calgary convention tomorrow. I’m going to miss him so much! The shop has been doing great lately. On his last walk in Friday, he tattooed eleven people. There were six people in line by 6am. His second client got there around 4:30am and the first guy SLEPT IN HIS CAR outside the shop.
Here he is playing Maggie like a set of bagpipes. Bob is most often the drummer, and usually Green Mouse (seen on the floor) is played like a set of bagpipes (tail in the mouth). I took a break from being band major to take this. It’s one of my favourite games around here.

We have a serious shortage of accomodations for our swallows.

That thing about how I’m going to miss my hubbers while he’s gone for 5 days? Scratch it. I miss him already.
Wow, the roses came out beautifully! I love the two-tone effect of the pink and orange! And yes, those birdies clearly need a bigger house… or a tree.
oo i would LOVE your recipe!! i used to have the joy of cooking that my grandma gave my dad when he moved out, but fairly certain that didn’t make it out to california when i moved
my email is erikastrada at gmail if you get a second to send it!
btw your neck looks beautiful, i love it!!
Wow look at all those birdies, we hardly see any swallows these days. Not compared to when I was a child, I remember very clearly the excitement.
Neck looks beautiful, I love, love orange ink.
There’s lots of trees, but they are hell bent on sharing this one house! It’s totally insane.
wowwowwow!!!!!!!
that looks amazing!!
came out nice
Your neck looks fantastic! Wish I had the guts to go for it like that. I’m sleeved and just got my first bit of ink on my chest near my shoulder and it still feels like breaking rules.
fun stuff!
Your neck looks fantastic!! I am really blown away with the colors. For some reason my body totally pushed out the green in the leaves in my wheat branches i guess you could call them. Is there any reason for that? Should i just go get it filled in?
Also, i wish i lived on your farm. seriously my boyfriend and i say it everyday!! You have such a lovely family!
That has to be the prettiest rose I’ve seen x
your new tattoo looks amazing! and your kids are adorable
I adore pink and orange together, often I will dress my daughter to reflect this. So, such a lovely tattoo! Looking forward to seeing your husband’s work at the Calgary show.
Wonderful family pics as usual! I do love the tattoo color choice, very pretty!

Hi Twwly,
Your tattoo is amazing and so is your family! I’ve been sitting on an idea for one for quite a while now but now I’m going to take the plunge. When I’m sitting in my office banging my head against the desk your blog reminds me what I’m working towards – saying “screw you” to city life and having my kids grow up in an environment where they can dig their hands in the soil and be surrounded by animals
the colors on your neck turned out lovely!!
Hi old friend long time no speak! Thanks for the pj’s they are darling. Fin is HUGE she’ll fit them right away. I just spent the morning reading through your posts. Everything is looking great on the farm, Mags and Bob are getting to be quite the little farmhands! So cute! The new tattooo is awesome I love the colours. It’s nice to be able to hide your tats wih your collar and hair for office dates. (wink)
