The no sting shampoo generally has some kind of local anesthetic in it, which burns like hell on contact with eyes! In fact, it hurts more than normal shampoo!

FYI - I shared your tetnus titre story with the Dr's and a few others at my work, and they were quite impressed! I think a few Dr's in this area will be getting asked to test tetnus titres soon! :)

congrats on the new members to the family. they are beautiful! The heart in the door... amazing. My girlfriend was living out on a farm with a pen of goats and as soon as they learned they could get out they were humping the house with their horns and eating her giant sunflowers - hysterical little creatures. She also had a little piglet that would always get out of its pen and sit on her back doorstep and try to get in the house. We used to say we were going to knit it little asspants and take it out as another child haha. thought that would give you a giggle.

poor meepsickle!!

Soooooo cute! I love the pictures, thanks for sharing! I used to raise sheep and love the spring when it was lambing time. The lambing period was hard, but after they were all settled and a few weeks old it was a blast to watch them all play! Running up and down the piles of mud/poop, standing on their moms (poor mommy's, trying to catch some zzz's and they get jumped/stood on), and mock fighting. So funny!

I think when we get "a place of our own", I want to get goats for Hannah. I think she'd love them. I think I will go for goats rather than sheep since goats are quieter (although they probably are more tricky to keep in their pens).

Poor little girl of yours! Still hoping she'll get better soon. What sort of homeopathic things have you tried?

Take care!

Plus I hope Meeps starts to feel better soon. Are you able to get her to breath any eucalyptus oil or anything like that?

The goats are so gorgeous, especially the mama!! The mental picture of them bouncing around gives me infinite pleasure!! Yes, some medicines are sooooo bitter. If only she could chase it with some honey but that may be difficult to get her to take too, you wouldn't be able to get it in quick enough for it to mask the bitterness. Aaaaand the no sting shampoo hurts just as much as the regular stuff you are absolutely correct. Poor kids. People think they can just tell them what they want and that should be the end of it. Finally, I live on a well too and I am astounded by neighbours who pressure wash their houses for hours, dump kitty litter at the side of their houses (cat shit is toxic, stupid) and use bleach and other chemicals regularily...scary.

Missed the Med thingy...I have tasted the gnarly "bubblegum" meds I've been given..it's HORRIBLE. But my kids will eat the chewable meds, Vince and Bella did before they were a year and a half, I let them know it wasn't candy, but it was better than the liquid meds.

Aaah! So cute! I love their dopey little eyes. And the heart carved into the door. My fella saw that and said to me "the goats will get out through that hole... you watch" haha. He seems to distrust goats a lot though.
