So, trying WordPress on for size. Have to say I am a bit lost at the moment. But I am hoping to figure this all out. It takes me an inordinate amount of time to update using iWeb, and I have other issues with searchability too, so hopefully this all works out and I don’t make a huge mess!
Onto the latest update!

Meeps in the dress I made her yesterday. But I’m getting ahead of myself.
I took a trip with my neighbour Ida to visit a local fabric store. Our babies are only two weeks apart and both hate the car, so it was a chorus of wails, chokes and screeches. Oh, the joys of babes!
So. There is no (longer) a fabric store in town. I had heard little snips about this fabric store, Amish run, lots of stock and the directions were always kinda sketchy. But sure enough, when you go down the end of my road (we’re almost at the end) and hang a left and then another quick left by the little church on the corner, then a quick right onto a side road so potholed I thought we might lose the truck, then when you hit the end of that road you take a left, then you go two farms over and pull into the driveway on your right. (Kuepfer). You drive right past the house towards the big red sheds and barns out back and one of the sheds on your right has a little piece of paper taped to the door that reads “OPEN Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat by Chance” and you have hit the mother load.
So if you’re reading this and you know where I live you now know how to get there. (You’re welcome.)
Anyway, I bought a bunch of fabric, ignored all of the things on my list of things to do that day except make dinner, wipe bums, noses, mouths, hands…feed, potty and entertain our kids… and I made Mags another dress. She slept on my back in the BECO baby carrier for most of it thank goodness. And so I was rushing… and sewed a sleeve on inside out. And made the neck a little big. And didn’t leave quite enough fabric at the back. BUT seeing as it’s only my second time sewing ANYTHING, EVER and I have no pattern, I am pretty stoked about it.

Bob wearing his favourite glasses. He loves saying THANK YOU, so that you say YOU’RE WELCOME. Other words I don’t go a day (or an hour) without hearing include:
ALLL-RIGHT.
CALLED?
DOING?
MOMMY DUNCAN!
MANG-O DOING?
DAISY DONT GET BOBS DINNER!
PUPPERCINI-WEENIE!
EIGHT FIFTY TEN! (Every time, measurement, number).
BOB DO IT.

Gwen has those sunglasses! =)
Isn’t sewing addictive! And fabric too for the matter. Once I start I just keep going and going. I can’t help myself. It’s such a sweet dress, I love the fabric.
I may be switching to wordpress too, so I hear you on being a little lost.
I’m so glad you switched to WP… I love reading your blog and always want to comment, but I feel like emailing a stranger is kind of invasive.
Looks good to me! WordPress is easy once you twiddle with it a bit. And I dig your theme, very pretty! (And I think if you have WordPress concerns, Shannon’s pretty handy with it and could help out).
Maggie is the cutest little girl ever, she’s a perfect combination of you and Scott. And I love that dress! I want to make clothes when I have kids, too. You are absolutely the coolest, Ashley!
